The challenge
The university needed fast Wi-Fi for students and staff across lecture halls, libraries, dormitories and outdoor areas, a resilient campus core linking all buildings, separate networks for students, staff and administration, and campus security.
The Navijin solution
Navas delivered a campus-wide Navijin network.
- Navijin chassis switch as the campus core, with fiber links to each building
- Layer 3 PoE switches in every building for access points, IP phones and cameras
- Indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points with seamless roaming across campus
- Gateway/controller with separate networks for students, staff, administration and guests
- IP cameras and NVRs for entrances, corridors and parking
The result
Students and staff enjoy consistent Wi-Fi across campus, administrative systems are separated from student traffic, and the IT team manages the entire campus from one place.
