The challenge
Oil and gas operators needed reliable communication and security across remote, harsh sites: production areas, perimeters, camps and control rooms. Equipment had to work in heat, dust and wide temperature ranges, cover large distances and be manageable from a central location.
The Navijin solution
Navas designed and delivered a complete Navijin enterprise network at every site, from the core to the edge:
- Navijin industrial and Layer 3 managed PoE switches for control rooms, camps and field cabinets
- Navijin IP cameras, including PTZ and outdoor bullet cameras, with NVR recording for perimeter, entrance and production-area surveillance
- Navijin outdoor and indoor Wi-Fi access points for camps, offices and work areas
- Navijin IP phones for offices, control rooms and camps
- Navijin wireless bridges and fiber SFP links to connect distant areas of each site
The result
The operators now run one standardised Navijin network across more than 10 oil and gas sites, with surveillance, data, Wi-Fi and voice on a single, centrally managed infrastructure. Using one brand for all equipment simplified spare parts, training and support across all sites.
